Clay Higgins

“The free world… all of Christendom… is at war with Islamic horror. Not one penny of American treasure should be granted to any nation who harbors these heathen animals. Not a single radicalized Islamic suspect should be granted any measure of quarter. Their intended entry to the American homeland should be summarily denied. Every conceivable measure should be engaged to hunt them down. Hunt them, identity [sic] them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.”
Clay Higgins post on facebook, June, 2017

During yesterday's vote in the House, a friend messaged me, “Who the fuck is Clay Higgins?” I told her she would need to get in line, as this fine christian man is currently with wife number four. A charmer by nature and nurture, he held a gun to his first wife's head during an argument, and was a mere $140,000 behind in child support with another. In 2021, he challenged a person to a boxing match for calling him a traitor for his vote against certifying the 2020 presidential election.

Higgins's self-identifies as a white supremacist. He is perhaps the most repulsive member of Congress today. In my opinion, the DU community should engage in a program to make him the face of the maga republicans seeking re-election in 2026. And should he issue a ring challenge, I'd nominate my son to box him.

Got a live staff person at the Washington, DC office and told him that Higgins is a GD disgrace for protecting pedophiles and that the SOB needs to resign, to which they promptly hung up on me. Got the VM at his Lafayette field office and so left the same message that I told his DC staffer.

Higgins office phone numbers:
Washington, DC: 202-225-2031
Lafayette: 337-703-6105
Lake Charles: 337-656-2833

Flood this piece of shit's offices with calls. After watching that video from yesterday, if I was that young man who Higgins got physical with, I would have charged that fucking POS with assault.

But I will still give him credit for being the ONLY Republican who voted honestly yesterday. (of course except for Massie, Greene, Boebert & Mace). The rest of the Republicans obviously hated the bill (they refused to sign the discharge petition, they trashed the bill in the debate before the vote and they sat silently when it passed). Voting for it just because they were terrified of being called the Pedophile protectors that they are shows an extra special level of hypocritical cowardice. Higgins at least wasn't a hypocrite and voted the way he legitimately believed.

Remember, Trump ran in part on his promise to release the files. Most of his voters want them released. Some or most could actually be trying to serve their constituents’ wishes. And then there are others who are convinced this will take down every Dem in power.

Wed Nov 19, 2025, 09:31 AM

This is not complicated. They told the world they didn't support the bill by their actions when it mattered. If even ONE of them had signed the discharge petition, this bill could have been passed over 2 months ago. Their votes yesterday meant nothing to passing the bill. It would have passed just from the discharge petition signers and all the Democrats.

It is so blatantly obvious that they didn't support the bill. What more proof do you need? This is the absolute height of hypocrisy and cowardice by Republicans . It's far too late to ascribe positive motives to any of them. They had their chance to do the right thing months ago and EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM chose not to.

Because they thought it was going to be amended in the Senate. When Chuck Schumer stood on the Senate floor and asked that the Senate pass it by unanimous consent immediately after the House vote passed, that put a kibosh on any amendments. They were fooled into voting for it in the House. Ha Ha!

But KO's "Countdown" podcast has had, from time to time for at least a couple of years, the best commentaries on the idiocracy of Clay Higgins. Higgins often makes it on KO's Worst Persons in the World list. But the best thing is Olberman's spot-on imitation of the ignorant, southern-cracker speech patterns of Clay.

Also, Mother Jones ran an interesting piece on Higgins last year. At one time, Higgins actually admitted to voting for KKK Grand Wizard David Duke for gubernator of Louisiana!

Americans with wealth and privilege have not suffered for generations fighting foreign occupiers, scraping by just to survive. Holding onto their religious faith kept the Afghans going, as odious as their fundamentalist patriarchy and intolerance of others may be.

Clay Higgins and his ilk betray the peaceful tolerance and welcoming kindness ostensibly at the core of their religion. They also betray the highest ideals and rule of law in the United States Constitution which has bestowed on them the blessings of liberty and prosperity, however imperfect and inequal that path has been for others with less privilege.

America is supposed to be the best hope of mankind -- an idea based on human rights and equality, rejecting the tribal animosity and tyranny which has plagued human civilization throughout recorded history.

162 years ago today in Pennsylvania, dedicating a cemetery for fallen Union soldiers, Abraham Lincoln said, in part:

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.

Are we not now engaged in a struggle to test whether our nation, so conceived, will endure?

I can only speak for myself, but if I met someone who had been divorced 3 times, I wouldn't even meet for lunch, let alone anything else, and certainly wouldn't consider marriage.

My husband was married once before, when he was young and pretty naive about women - Catholic schools all his life, including a boys only high school, and then the Air Force Academy in its early years before any of the academies admitted women. His ex went on to marry 3 more times. Found all the others in her church's divorce support group, and had big weddings each time.

One divorce, OK. Anyone can make a relationship mistake. If someone's been divorced 3 times, it can't all be the other person's fault.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/11/19/epstein-files-who-is-clay-higgins-us-congressman-who-voted-no-on-release

Who is Clay Higgins?
Higgins has represented Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District since 2017. He is known as one of the most far-right members of the House and often takes positions that fall outside the Republican mainstream. He is also a strong Trump supporter.

Higgins has drawn national attention for years, often because of controversy. Before he entered Congress, he worked in law enforcement, where he faced several misconduct complaints. He later became well-known online for his dramatic, tough-talking Crime Stoppers videos, which went viral and helped launch his political career.

His outspoken style has continued in Washington. In 2020, he posted a message on Facebook threatening the use of force against armed protesters, alongside a photo of Black demonstrators carrying long guns. “If we recognise threat … you won’t walk away,” he wrote. Facebook later removed the post.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Higgins was openly sceptical about the virus and claimed that the Chinese Communist Party had created and weaponised it.
