2. There is one particular AI freedom (though I guess you could call it freedom by regulation) I do want to see

That idea is freedom for AI to report factual information (and conclusions thereupon) regardless of political inconvenience. I think that's a VERY important AI Freedom (if you will) that must be maintained. It is apparently not that important to Zuck & Co, because Zuckerberg is a dick, obviously.

The only way to maintain that freedom, perhaps paradoxically, is probably through regulation.

What I mean by this is (for the moment, at least) you can prompt AI to answer a question like "Why do so many people hate Trump", and it will endeavor to come up with a honest list of reasons why that is the case.

And you have to know that Trump will hate that whenever someone informs him that this is the case.
