Incidentally, the ABC story is wrong. The 177k jobs gain in April was revised down in today's report to 147k.

The two previous months were revised down by a combined 95k. Considering these downward revisions, there are only 44k more jobs than were reported in last month's report (released 5/2).

Anyway all that is at the earlier LBN thread including links to sources (not something I scraped off of Tik Tok)..
