"SNIP.............
Washington Post: Nearly half of the estimated 11 million people living illegally in the United States are Mexican, according to analysts. Deporting them is cheaper and easier than sending migrants back to more distant countries that are at odds with Washington, such as Venezuela.
In Mexico, migrant advocates are alarmed at whats coming. Sending millions of jobless Mexicans back to towns they left years ago could create chaos in areas already suffering from poverty and organized crime, they say.

Some non profit needs to come up with a way undocumented can return and take their savings with them safely or the crime syndicates will target them when they return. There needs to be a digital way to do it. And a way to hide it from the cartels. Like a 'double book' of $ data.

(4,539 posts)Electronic funds transfers from the US is Mexico largest source of foreign income.
and most Mexicans travel back and forth regularly.
I read that Homan said they were going to concentrate on those who have already been ordered by a judge to leave. I don't think that will be a lot of Mexicans.

(10,875 posts)that Mexico does not have to accept the deportees. Period.
The other reality is that this will tank the economy in a lot of places. Who does the orange blob think (if he thinks at all, which is dubious) picks the crops that go to the supermarkets? Who processes the chickens and beef in the packing plants? Who works on the dairy farms and increasingly, on the massive poultry and hog farms? I'll give you a clue...most Americans won't. Your food costs will SKYROCKET if he starts doing this. And if he does carry it out, guess what?

CONCENTRATION CAMPS.
Who wants them near you? Who will turn a blind eye to them? Will there be gas chambers next? Stephen Miller would LOVE that!

(10,875 posts)I remember when ICE raided a meat packing plant in Grainger County, TN in 2016 I don't know how many of those people had green cards, but it threw an entire community (Morristown, TN, in the adjacent county, where most of the workers lived and went to church) into an uproar. There's a funny thing about east Tennesseans---they're kinda prejudiced, but at the same time, it's like this: "Those folks might be Mexicans, but they're OUR Mexicans, so y'all just leave 'em be!" They were fiercely protective and angry as hell, and in the end, ICE and the feds just went off with their tails between their legs.

(35,015 posts)deportation numbers will probably closely match those of the Biden era.
what will be different is how much bragging will occur on RW media.

(40,053 posts)Well, they will have a good head start. Abbot and DeSantis surely kept records of the people they flew and bused around the country.
And where they debarked them.
