(The Hill) House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said Sunday “of course” the House Ethics Committee should release its report on the misconduct allegations against former Rep. Schiff says he's 'not going to be intimidated' by Trump

(The Hill) Senator-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said he is “not going to be intimidated” by President-elect Trump as concerns grow over if the next administration will go after Trump’s enemy list. “Look, I’m not going to be intimidated by anything he says, by anything he does,” Schiff said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” Schiff, a current California representative, is on Trump’s list after he played a key role in his first impeachment trial. Trump has vowed for revenge and faces few limitations with loyal Republicans nominated to his cabinet and the GOP in control of both the House and Senate.

Litigation Coalition Forming to Confront Trump Administration Policies

(Federal Newswire) A coalition of over 280 organizations has announced what it says is a multimillion-dollar legal initiative to challenge policies from the incoming Trump administration. The coalition, "Democracy 2025,” includes legal, advocacy, and policy groups to "disrupt far-right attacks on the American people," according to its website. According to a press release by the coalition, Democracy 2025 is spearheaded by Democracy Forward, a legal advocacy organization to promote "transparent and accountable governance.” The coalition says more than 800 individuals are involved, including "litigators, strategists, advocates, academics, policy experts, and faith leaders."

(AP) Speaking from the Amazon rainforest, President Joe Biden declared Sunday that there’s no going back in America’s “clean energy revolution” even as the incoming Trump administration vows to spur fossil fuel production and scale back efforts against climate change. Biden, the first sitting U.S. president to visit the world’s largest tropical rainforest, saw up close the ravages of deforestation. Flanked by giant ferns in the forest, Biden said the fight against climate change has been a defining cause of his presidency — he’s pushed for cleaner air, water and energy and achieved legislation that steered unprecedented federal spending to the fight against global warming.
