I just want to be on record

for wanting a recount. No one calls me for decisions, yet it seems wrong not to say publicly that I think a recount should be conducted. What are they waiting for?

We are not afraid to apply Trump's own tactics. We shouldn't care about the optics. The truth is, we are not MAGA, we have a duty to try to find the truth. No harm, no foul. But, if we don't start soon, we can't get it done in time.

1. Harris has conceded, and accepted the election results

There will be no presidential recounts.

Soon, the Democratic Secretaries of State in WI, MI, AZ, and NC will certify the election results, and the Democratic governors of those states will sign certificates of Ascertainment appointing slates of Trump electors for their states.

The American people will soon face numerous challenges from a new, corrupt, incompetent administration, and many, especially the most vulnerable, will suffer greatly.

We will need all available resources to focus on this painful, unavoidable, undeniable reality, and work to protect those most at risk.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is cutting off the spigot.

9. That wouldn't stop Trump.

He's irrational. He said kids went to school, and the schools changed their sexes and sent them home. He said that repeatedly. Why are we not allowed to at least try? What do we gain by not matching insanity? Do you feel that Trump won fair and square? What about Russia saying that Trump owed them?

This isn't going to end well.

11. They say they need more

After the first $41,300 goes to the DNC, they will apply the next $3,300 towards any recount. Once they get enough people to contribute, they can start the recount effort.

Direct from the Harris campaign website.

A portion of donations made to the Harris Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee authorized by the Harris campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state Democratic parties, will be directed towards a recount effort, according to its fundraising page.

The fundraising page says that the “first $41,300/$15,000 from a person/multicandidate committee (“PAC”) will be allocated to the DNC. The next $3,300/$5,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to Harris for President's Recount Account."

unless or until - something definitive is unearthed that would indicate actionable error. ( and/or a differing result? ) And THEN - that call comes from the DNC, the Harris campaign, state government, the administration - et.al. (not Sally Sidelines)

You called me a derogatory name. That's gotta be against the TOS.

At any rate, I'm more proactive than you. When I see my democracy go bye bye, I follow it to see where it went. Biden/Harris has done a lot for me, and I think they could use some help right about now.

But in fact the Sally Sidelines label was not directed at you - but rather a generalized moniker like Joe Sixpack. Hope that helps.

I won't however be joining in any "Recount, recount!" chants (as you might have already surmised) - for a number of reasons With the chief one being - I'm seeing absolutely no indication that they have any chance of changing the given result. Thereby making them a rather pointless (not to mention foolish) pursuit.

And Yes, I do believe that Trump won - Harris lost - and the election was by and large run in a fair and open manner. (with lots of observation and oversight) The result was (again largely) the the culmination of the people's choice. And so be it.

But I don't see them making motions that they will do it. In the end, those who support them are not taken into consideration. Leaders on both sides are supposed to protect us from this, they have failed.
