It was expected that corporate media would cave to Trump. What's stunning is how quickly they all gave in.

It was expected that corporate media would eventually cave to Trump.

What’s stunning is how quickly they all gave in.

Oh, Lord. Joe and Mika went to Mar-a-lago. "What we did agree on," Mika said, "was to restart communications." Access. "He seemed interested in finding common ground with Democrats." Credulity. They revert to their mean.

It is about survival.
They wish to remain in their positions and still make money.
And avoid death threats.

Everyone folded like a lawn chair.
Courts, judges, congress, DOJ, Supreme Court.
Most of the media caved a long time ago.
Now everyone is onboard.

Heil Hitler.

I won't be clicking the video because I don't want to hear Scarborough's voice. As far as I am concerned he and Trump are like two peas in a PoD.

We all know he is "Stunningly superficial"! 😑

They were pounding the message that DT was an authoritarian and a fascist. Example after example to keep the libs all riled up and watching their shows. I believe at one point MSNBC ratings were second to Fox. But they only went so far, like a guard dog on a chain. Remember how the documentary on child separation had to be delayed until after the election? Because underneath of it all, they are all owned by corporations.

Now that we left in droves, tired of the sane washing and post mortem blame of Biden or Harris, they are trying to survive. They think liberals have to be centrist, and have a Kumbaya moment. I never see that on RW media. I never see them reaching across the aisle. So eff them.

I feel sorry for the good journalists such as Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, Lawrence O'Donnell. I gave up on CNN when they started bringing in former Republicans to be "fair and balanced". MSNBC did that too, especially on Ari. But I am done. I am thankful for alternative media sources, forums such as DU, and loving Bluesky. These outlets need our support and money, not corporations. I will "vote" with my dollar or as the Republicans like to say "cancel".

“Don’t be mistaken, we’re not here to defend or normalize Donald Trump,” Scarborough told his audience Monday. “We’re here to report on him and to hopefully provide you insights and better equip all of us to understand these deeply unsettling times.”

They're not caving IMO. They're keeping their friends close and enemies closer.
