Can we really discuss "political differences" with MAGA cultists?

I keep hearing variations on the idea of political differences and that those "differences" shouldn't alienate us from family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, or just about anyone who happens to have a "political belief" that includes the doctrine of MAGA. Sure like any lie MAGA can contain some grains of truth, and I suppose that's what sucks in some of the folks we find it baffling to see get aligned with the cult, but after nine years of experiencing the lies and propaganda, after witnessing the speeches full of nothing but grievance and retribution, after seeing the intent to install a cabinet that will surely make it's mission on of fundamentally dismantling our institutions, do we really have anything worthwhile to "discuss" the cult members? I see their posts every day on the various social media platforms where they gleefully revel in the carnage the Trump is bringing. Of course they are too ignorant to understand what is happening, but the fact that Liberals are concerned about it is making them ecstatic! Their Savior is owning the Libs! Tell me how THAT is a political difference that I can have an intelligent conversation about. Seriously, I'd love to know how that's done.

No, I'm sorry, those aren't political differences. That's fundamental differences in morality, character, and ethics. Those people who have embraced the MAGA cult have finally shown us who and what they are, and I don't want any part of them.

You are correct that it is an issue of morals and character. One which is only made more glaring by their trying to avoid accountability for what they have done and continue to do.

I worked with them for 30 yrs. No you can't. They have to have it their way or not at all. They only care about their side winning and annihilate the enemy.

Skilled therapists take years to get them out of their wormhole, and that's only after they agree that they need help. Otherwise, it's adversarial and that does not work. It only reinforces their separation.

Disclaimer: I am not a psychologist, nor a therapist.
Only a realist.

If you look at the polls, people with advanced degrees and college degrees are more apt to vote Democratic. If you turn on Fox News, after always watching PBS or MSNBC you will see a drastic difference between the language levels.

I really don't try. My lament here was due to people continuously admonishing us to try to "reach" the MAGAs. I believe it's a lost cause.

They don’t give a shit; nor do they understand or comprehend or attempt to educate themselves on policy.

So no; there is no discussion with MAGA.
