the main reason. I’m assuming 35% or so are just racists, bigots, etc., who wouldn’t vote for a liberal no matter what. I don’t have the answer, but we need to figure something out quickly with mid-terms just around corner.

The RW will spout lies and cast unfounded aspersions on their enemies.
The rest of us want to cite facts with footnotes.

The RW will put flashy zooming graphics with subtle innuendos to make their points.
The rest of us will present charts and numbers and facts - again documented.

The RW will stick skinny blonde people with legs and no brains as spokespeople.
The rest of us feel that is tacky and will present with real experts (with citations.)

I've been through a ton of power-pointless presentations where the whooshes and colors and generic actors are the main part. The facts and real content are usually inconvenient for the presenter, so they are avoided.

Whoooooosh!

Socialism is a scare word they have hurled at every advance the people have made in the last 20 years.

Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called farm price supports.

Socialism is what they called bank deposit insurance.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

When the Republican candidate inscribes the slogan "Down With Socialism" on the banner of his "great crusade," that is really not what he means at all.

What he really means is "Down with Progress--down with Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal," and "down with Harry Truman's fair Deal." That's all he means.

' In President Harry's Truman's remarks in Syracuse, New York on October 10, 1952.'

nothing over us, we are all for the betterment of people. Republicans are just for themselves, and have not done one thing for the country or us. But this bunch will eff up, and that's when we pound the ideas that we will succeed.

We need to hear from AOC, Crockett, Raskin, Swalwell, Frost etc. Bring in the new guards!!!

Perhaps the most memorable line of the speech came when Roosevelt described forces which he labeled "the old enemies of peace: business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering." He went on to claim that these forces were united against his candidacy; that "They are unanimous in their hate for me — and I welcome their hatred."
