..it might have come out earlier on their website, but came up about a hour ago on youtube.
here:
A lot of things struck me in this exchange, most notably that Goldberg seems mostly aligned with the Trump administration on the Houthi strikes in Yemen and isn't hostile in any way toward any of the principals in this event.
The other, which is really a question, is that he mentioned that he had informed colleagues about the invitation to the Signal chat, and was in discussions with them about it.
Were any other reporters, or anyone else witnessed to the contents or details of the chat through those conversations with Jeffrey Goldberg?
How far did the breach go in those circles, and will those people be brought in to tell what they know? I did hear Patel in the intelligence hearing today say he hasn't yet had that discussion about an investigation at FBI.
For that matter, will Jeffery Goldberg be asked into the Senate committee, perhaps in closed session, to tell all?
And have the phones been secured, or checked for malware as someone questioned in the intelligence hearing today with Gabbard, Ratcliffe, Patel?
Also, most people can identify with what he said about how easy it would be for the administration to admit they made a big mistake, and promise to tighten up the ship.
But it's this reflexive lying that just burns. It's essentially the heart of the problem here... the Trump administration's refusal to be held accountable for any of their actions, refusing to admit clear and obvious mistakes and offenses. All the while claiming everyone else they're arbitrarily firing is incompetent.
watch the intelligence hearing held today: (evidently conducted after the interview above)

(5,950 posts)It will be interesting to see how much he divulges between now and then, and how much he mentions on that program.

(91,709 posts)...he makes clear that, even if the Trump people aren't interested in the safety and security of those involved, that's one of his own principle interests and concerns, and that he isn't inclined at all to release any sensitive details.
I think that's the stuff for a congressional committee, unfortunately led by republicans who need further pressuring.
He's more interested in process questions about efficacy and effectiveness.

(2,036 posts)In this interview, he was asked about turning over his phone to the intel committees, it sounded as though he has not yet done so. I hope that phone is somewhere very, very safe!!
I'm wondering a couple of things... the Signal app was set to delete parts of the conversation at various times. Could anyone who set up the chat (trump admins) accelerate that and delete the entire record at any time?
And even if not... with the app itself set to do the deletions on a timeframe, has Goldberg memorialized the conversation via screenshots, printing out, etc?
Can the admin turn around and try to prosecute HIM for retaining or otherwise "mishandling" classified info, or gov't info in general that he wasn't really supposed to have? I wouldn't put anything past them.

(91,709 posts)A few questions @jahimes should demand answers to tomorrow:
1) Was Tulsi using a personal phone when she was traveling internationally & participating in Signal chat?
2) Was @SteveWitkoff
using personal phone when he was traveling internationally & participating in Signal chat?
3) Did Witkoff have phone (whichever had Signal on it) with him at the Kremlin on March 13?
4) Did he access his phone while at the Kremlin (by this point, he'd be pwned anyway, but important to know how fucking stupid he is)?
Those are all some of the most basic Qs we need to answer: did Trump's DNI and envoy travel the world with personal phones loaded with Signal engaging in highly sensitive convos w/entire NatSec team?
And WHO ELSE traveled internationally w/the Signal chat on their phone?
