I am hearing "we can't turn things around, but we can stop them from doing any more damage"

I know we have a one or two special elections coming up in Florida.. one being Gaetz's old seat..

Do we really have a chance of taking a house seat in Florida? I mean you would have to be is a cave 24/7 to miss stories about all the damage that the Trump/Musk people have been doing

Sitting here in Iowa looking south for a little uplift

these Districts were drawn by an R supermajority to remain under R control. It is not impossible to flip them, but a lot of R votes either need to flip or just stay home. These are not 'lean R' seats. It would be a huge flip to get them. Not impossible but certainly a hail mary sort of result.

I am not clear that the ugly impacts are big enough there to get the job done. I am really sure that they will be eventually, but it may take a bit.

Now the protests are humming right along in the blue and purple areas of FL but this is deep red country for sure. However, the oligarchs are hitting rural agricultural areas, but the full impacts will take a bit to bite. A large part of our workforce, particularly ag and construction workers are about to be deported. They are also hitting tourism pretty well as Europe has travel warnings, and the Canadians are heading elsewhere. We really should have a solid recession by summer.

if you want to participate.

The districts are solidly red so they are a longshot. But we are trying.
