This is precisely what "white supremacy" does.
The claim of being the only civilized people on the planet is the rejection of facts in evidence and the embrace of delusional suppositions.

"White supremacy" is nothing but malevolent delusion in action.

"White supremacy" is a "religion".

Those that reject reason embrace delusion.

This is that.

Happy Sunday Malaise!!

The OP was talking about white supremacists.

One can be an evil supremacist and deeply religious or an ardent atheist.

His religious beliefs were private. He attended church regularly but didn't believe in the obvious lies, contradictions and lies of Christianity. He never claimed to be an Athirst but hinted at agnosticism. He was certainly a skeptic of the dogma.

Here he speaks about the bible:

It is full of interest. It has noble poetry in it; and some clever fables; and some blood-drenched history; and some good morals; and a wealth of obscenity; and upwards of a thousand lies.
- Letters from the Earth Mark Twain

They attract themselves to all those others of the ilk. Suspect low self esteem in the id. Their ego is a facade to make up for lack of growth. Will never engage the super ego, because that would require expanding themselves to do the right thing by their fellow man. Too Buddhist.

... make no mistake - they want to assert this "god-given office" of dominion over over every race, white included, every nation on this planet.

The biggest reward for this is financial, not even spiritual.

They aren't interested in "crimes", they just want the "fines".

White leaders created the British Empire, white European leaders funded exploration that led to the discovery of the Americas, the US was founded by and for white people, ergo white people are superior. In high school, if it is taught at all, world history focuses a lot on European history and touches on China and Asia the areas that became the Ottoman Empire. Unless you’re a humanities major in college or have a personal interest, you’re also unlikely ever to study world history.

I suspect that if you were to ask today’s white Christian evangelicals whether Jesus was white, their answer would be absolutely yes in spite of the fact that he would have been genetically closer to Arabs because Sephardic Jews and Arabs are genetically similar.

Maintaining the attitude that non-white peoples are inferior has been important to leaders throughout history to gain approval and acceptance of their exploitation. White supremacists especially ask why Africans did not create their own empire as Europeans did. The simple answer is that Europe was developed on a feudal system where great lords gained enormous wealth using the productive labor of vassals and serfs. The policy of primogeniture also played a role because it prevented the dilution of wealth, whereas Africa was populated mostly by tribes that worked similar to communes to support their own members and to fight off rival tribes. The accumulation of great wealth was not supported in most areas, and then of course the Europeans arrived to plunder resources and treat the natives as inferior laborers only.

In the US, conservative and right-wing Republicans have kept alive the concept that black people especially are inferior and the country would be better without them. That is what Musk/Trump and Project 2025 leaders all seem to believe.

To think that one is better than another due to the amount of melanin in one’s body is beyond stupid as it reaches for the heights of idiocy!

These bigots have a very narrow understanding of science, history, geography, ideologies, languages and civilizations. Of course they’re prejudiced against anything outside their pathetic bubbles. They don’t even know what they don’t know!

Once, I went to a wedding in the south. It was extremely elegant and the rehearsal dinner was held in the bride’s uncle’s home. It was palatial and overlooked a beautiful river. During the evening, when I was speaking with the host, I told him I was from New York City. He responded, “Oh, you must know a lot of Jews. We don’t like their kind around here.” I was stunned but replied that not only were my primary clients Jewish gentlemen who also happened to be gay, but that I could never imagine them saying such a thing about him. Although my wife at the time was pissed at me, I can’t condone that shit.

The smartest people I’ve ever known were lots of things: women, Jews, gays/straights/whatevers, Arabs, Blacks, Asians and more. The quality of one’s life is demonstrated by the way they live with and treat others not the superficial features we all have. It’s as ridiculous as hating people with large noses.

It reminds me of a slightly off-color joke as an analogy. A man was asked if the size of one’s manhood was an important measure of his worth. The man replied, “How could I be proud of that which every chimpanzee is my equal and every jack ass my superior?”

Deep down, white supremacists know that they are an increasing minority who are losing their hold over the rest of us. I hope it’s driving them nuts!

We live in a wonderfully diverse world. To limit one’s life experience because of stupid prejudices is ignorant and self-defeating. I’m only getting one chance for this life. I want to experience as much as possible in the years I have left.

Just projecting their fears, weaknesses and failures.

“Supremacy” is fear of inadequacy.

Strong people life others up.
Weak people try to cut others down to their size.

A few Europeans with gunpowder conquered one hemisphere and a big chunk of the other, killing and enslaving many hundreds of millions of people they considered inferior in the process. That’s the main point “Western civilization” wrought upon the continent and world through an insidious “Manifest Destiny” mindset that spread after 1776.

Jewish people survived racial hate and kept relatively safe and fit in, due to their skin pigmentation. Then came Hitler and IBM.

Today the descendants of racists worry the non-civilized people will realize they are better than they are and will band together to apply righteous indignation like that time in Haiti. The just know they deserve it.
