He was such a heart throb.
Everyone was wearing those scrub tops. It was a huge fad.

(3,875 posts)"Dr. Kildare" and "Ben Casey" were TV series which both debuted in 1961. Each ran for about five seasons.
The movie "The Interns" (1962) was another entry in dramatic offerings involving young doctors.

A Twilight Zone Episode where played Death, to an elderly woman who refused to leave a tenement that was about to be demolished in NYC.
The way he "eased" the transition for the woman was excellent.
On Edit: I stand corrected, "Death" was Robert Redford.
Thanks to all for the correction!

(2,116 posts)I always used to tease her that he was gay, as it was just what we used to do at the time.
Then later when he came out I was stunned. I had been doing it all along just to tease her, but never actually believed it.
I had no idea.

(11,725 posts)Though I enjoyed it, Chamberlain's absence in the role was the first thing I noted. The man was so handsome and elegant. First crush I ever had as a kid.

(369 posts)He played Alexander McKeag in Centennial. An amazing, woke TV miniseries from the 70s.
