Is anyone else tired of seeing GOP apologist Scott Jennings on CNN?

We try to watch different news programs and I happen to see Jennings defending the administration over not firing anyone over Signalgate, claiming it was a minor mistake.

I think if President Trump, during an Oval Office press conference, dropped his drawers and defecated on the Resolute Desk—Jennings would defend it saying, “Ii was a job that needed to be done and the President performed admirably.”

1. Nixon's press secretary Ron Ziegler called the Watergate break-in a third-rate burglary.

He also accused WaPo reporters Woodward and Bernstein of “shabby journalism” and “character assassination.”
Ziegler became famous for his evasive use of language. In 1974, the Committee on Public Doublespeak of the National Council of Teachers of English gave Ziegler its first annual “Doublespeak” award. The prize came for this sentence, when Ziegler was discussing the secret White House tapes:

I would feel that most of the conversations that took place in those areas of the White House that did have the recording system would, in almost their entirety, be in existence, but the special prosecutor, the court, and, I think, the American people are sufficiently familiar with the recording system to know where the recording devices existed, and to know the situation in terms of the recording process, but I feel, although the process has not been undertaken yet in preparation of the material to abide by the court decision, really, what the answer to that question is.

So the blathering of Jennings and Baghdad Barbie is nothing new. And attention to the "third-rate burglary" didn't go away.

Scott Jennings Tries to Defend Trump Ripping Detroit During Speech in the City:

‘I Think the Point He Was Making Is…’

by Michael Luciano
Mediaite, October 10, 2024,

Excerpt...

“The whole country’s gonna be like– you wanna know the truth?” (Trump) said. “It’ll be like Detroit. Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president aware… We’re a developing nation, too. Just take a look at Detroit. Detroit’s a developing– Detroit’s a developing area, hell of a lot more than most places in China.”

Snip...

“It is a constant Republican refrain for many years that these large American cities that have decades of history of electing Democrats and that have poor economic outcomes, or poor crime outcomes, or poor education outcomes, it’s because of the local leadership,” (GOP strategist, meaning Moscow Mitch-n-Baby Doc Bush spokesturd, Scott) Jennings said. “And so I think the point he was making is maybe we can do something different than just keep electing the same Democrats who’ve hurt these cities.

CNN commentator Ashley Allison had a markedly different take.

“Donald Trump wanted to say, ‘Detroit equals Black.’ That was a code word that he just did. And I would say, if you go to the city of Detroit, the revitalization of downtown Detroit, Detroit has been pretty substantial. Is it all the way back to where it was when it was booming? No, but the investment and local Detroit is real.”

Jennings isn't just stupid. He's on CNN being stupid. After Trump was shot at in Butler, Jennings blamed the Democratic Party and its candidates, along with CNN, for spreading violent rhetoric. That story from the NY Post:

“I have to say, when I see what Democratic politicians say about Donald Trump, when I see what Democratic commentators say about Donald Trump, and their platform is built on a bunch of lies, frankly, that are designed to radicalize a political base, it makes me wonder … How much do they really care about the violence that you and I both agree is terrible?” Jennings asked.

He called out the Harris campaign for fearmongering about what the country would look like if Trump becomes president again.

“The underpinning of her campaign, I mean, she repeats it herself, ‘Trump will be a dictator on day one.’ I mean, this country fights dictators. That‘s what our history — we fight dictators,” he said while the panel erupted to protest that it was true.”

That's not misinformation; that's disinformation. The guy has no business being on CNN, let alone network television or cable.

Who is this Scott Jennings?

I decided television news and opinion was bad for my mental health and quit watching it in 2002. My wife has never watched television news.

Our television plays DVDs and no-advertising streaming services. That's all it does.

Likely will never go back. It is no longer even on my cable lineup. Do yourself a favour, get rid of it. I don’t miss it at all.

11. The real question, why anyone here would even care to know who Scott Jennings is in the first place.

I don't watch, so I don't who that person is, but I had watched CNN way way way back in the day.
I stopped watching during the early years of the Iraq invasion.

Here we are, nearly a quarter of a century later, and I keep seeing references to CNN.

They're better than Fox, but only by degrees. Which in a nutshell, says everything anyone needs to know. Thanks to CNN and MSNBC who gave the ultimate platform for forever wars, platforming racist attacks on a decent president and served up free campaign platform for the psychopaths in control of our country. Isn't that reason enough to forever avoid "watching" the shit show staged on CNN every damn day of the week?
