Ex-Pats are voicing their disappointment
Well, not all of them, but the majority that had been silent for fear of retaliation or being seen as unpatriotic are starting to speak their minds on the subject.
My wife and I attended a party last night, in benefit of a local singer (Ex-Pat from KY) who has a family emergency and needs to go home and help. The party was full of people and the donation jar was overflowing.
The owner of the house, an older lady named Jane, obviously of means, had donated a large quantity of money and business's resources back in KY to help with the emergency. I was at the bar getting some beers, the bar had a large TV hanging from the wall and the picture of Trump with other ass kissers flashed on the screen and I over heard Jane, a few feet away, say "Fuck that excuse for a human being." As a joke I asked, "Is your ex such a terrible man?" She looked at me with the eyes of a mother disappointed on her kids homework and said. "Nope, our fucking president." I responded with, "ma'am, I agree."
Other friends joined in the conversation and most had words to say on the matter. One, said that "it is not the place for politics but I think he is doing a good job." Jane responded with, "fuck you, Steve (not his real name) and please get the fuck out of my house."
Jane added; "Steve is always asking for cash, he is here because he has no money to go back to the US. He is living large with other people's money."
Before midnight the wife and I decided to leave, walking to the car, I POOP YOU NOT, I hear Steve call out my name and came close to us and asked for a few $ because there was an issue for getting his money here. I knew it was BS because the ATMs are plentiful here and in working order. I told him I was broke as Trump had stopped my SS checks (Yes, I lied). The wife and I walked away and went home to our dogs.
