My ballot for tomorrow's election has been received and will be counted.

(821 posts)My county (McHenry) has this feature called Ballottrax that I signed up for
so I'd know my ballot was received. Will be keeping an eye on Wisconsin and
Florida as best I can though.

(9,781 posts)Friends in Marion County say their mail-in ballots can be confirmed by checking online. I always vote in person so have never tried it.

So I'll stand by the claim that it's statewide, unless you pass along your friends' link that shows anything to the contrary.

(9,781 posts)As I said, I've never tried it, but it is for Marion County voters. There's a link to track your mail ballot.

Also, Vote.org lists all 50 states, and then next to their names, has columns that provide numbers for registration, total votes, and vote count verification. So even if Marion County verifies its votes to voters, apparently my county (Manatee) does not. So then it makes sense that Vote.org would have the verification column next to Florida as "not available" if not all counties verify.
Voting isn't the problem for Democrats in Florida. It's the state's vote record keeping that's the problem for Democrats. For mail in voting, one doesn't get a tracking number unless one literally gives a postal employee the ballot, and maybe even then worker might not be able to issue a tracking number. Still, I could try that this next cycle. There is no transparent chain of possession from precinct to the county Bds of Election Commissioners to the FL Sec. of State's office. In between my hands and the Sec of State's office, even my mail in ballot bar code can be tampered with. Or destroyed. Or the ballot burned.

(9,781 posts)Voting in person is my control freak coming out. I want to put that ballot into the machine. Even then, I wonder where it's gone these days.
I had originally thought all counties did ballot tracking, so it's an eye-opener that apparently that's not a thing everywhere. Thanks for that info.

Our elections are strictly municipal and township. Went to the county
Democratic Party website and voted for their picks.
