"Floridians are big mad.
Not all 20-odd million of us, of course: We tend to be politically soporific, occasionally becoming passionate over potholes or maybe a too-short grouper fishing season, but preferring to keep reality at arms length.
Still, something is changing. People are angry, auto-calling their representatives, making signs, demonstrating and showing up at town halls.

And Ill bet a decent number, frightened and frustrated over President Musks scorched-earth attacks on the Department of Education, NOAA, USAID, etc. (its a terrifyingly long list), didnt vote at all in 2024.
I overheard a couple of them talking about it during a recent town hall in Tallahassee. They both said they didnt like either candidate: Harris was too pro-Israel, Trump was good at business (highly debatable) but a terrible person, and until now they never really thought it mattered who got elected."
SO, WHO'S SORRY NOW?

(1,263 posts)I want NOTHING to do with Florida...it's a sh.ithole state. I couldn't care less about their weather either. I live in Michigan and we get 4 great seasons. Don't need Florida and it's Repukes. That state is almost as Red as Texas...won't ever step foot in it or spend a dime in it the rest of my days.
