'Finally told the truth': GOP senator mistakenly admits he wants to 'cut Medicare'

Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA), the House minority whip, called out Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) after he accidentally admitted Republicans want to "cut Medicare."

During a Tuesday interview on CNBC, Cassidy was asked how Republicans would pay for the trillions of dollars in tax cuts that President Donald Trump has demanded.

"If you add all that up, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget said that that would cut revenue by somewhere between five and $11.2 trillion over the next 10 years," the CNBC host told the GOP senator.

Doctors will drop out of the assignment status and force seniors to eat any extra charges over the, now reduced, Medicare payable amount. When there are no doctors that can take the hit, there will be no doctors available for people who need costs to remain controlled.

Advantage wins and then the advantage plans directly cut back coverage and begin a large increase in costs of plans to recipients. Large numbers of elderly will join the ranks of those who cannot afford heathcare. Welcome a return to low longevity for Americans.

Huey Long initiated the expansion of the state’s two Charity Hospitals to create a network of public hospitals accessible to the poor. Capacity at New Orleans’ Charity Hospital was more than doubled, reducing the death rate by 30 percent.

Through the Board of Health, Long tripled funding for public healthcare. The state’s free health clinics grew from 10 in 1926 to 31 in 1933, providing free immunizations to 67 percent of the rural population.
