Pathetic, his attempts to secure a third term

First, some claim that he can switch placed with Vance, but why would Vance want to resign to benefit this pathetic low self esteem person? Either way, the combination of the 12th and the 22nd Amendments prevent this.

Another preposterous idea (from the WSJ):

[Yale University constitutional law professor Akhil Reed] Amar said it is possible Trump could attempt to extend his presidency another way. If another Republican is elected president next time, that person could appoint Trump secretary of state, he said. It is possible Trump could then return to the White House if the president and vice president resigned, Amar said. He added that it is possible Trump could assume the presidency if all others ahead of the secretary of state in the line of succession step aside.

Federal law establishing the presidential line of succession excludes cabinet officials who are ineligible to be president, but Congress could loosen that restriction through normal legislation without amending the Constitution.

“There is a possible loophole. I wish it weren’t true, but there is,” Amar said.

Again, why would the elected president and vice president resign in succession to accommodate him? Besides, the third in line is the Speaker who could be a Democrat.

The only good news is that he is talking about future elections. Gone are the talks of "no more elections." For now.

He will just stay in office if he wants.

We know that no one will stop him.

Now he's trying to avoid going to hell. But I am pretty sure that's not even an option.
