So the stock market indicators are all looking like the path of a poorly thrown yoyo. It's too volatile to make any short term sense, so it's time to do other things than watching the markets.

They appear to be in charge.
As for me, my investment strategy has been to get completely debt free before retiring. I've met that goal, so I'm out of the workforce, as of my 75th birthday.
Why? Well, there's no better feeling than having no debts to repay. Truly there is not.
Before I retired that was also my primary goal... paid off house and everything.
