Do you REALLY not understand that most of us here see Trump as a genuinely evil man with no values or ethics whatsoever and absolutely no empathy for other human beings? Because we do, and we believe (because we see the evidence with our own eyes) that he's trying to turn this country into a white supremacist, totalitarian dictatorship.

That being the case, and knowing we are stuck with him for the time being regardless, making fun of him and calling him a variety of names is one of the ways we express our frustration. (My personal favorites are Schlump and the Orange Hellbeast, both of which I came up with myself, thank you.) I don't personally care for fat shaming, and I avoid it myself, but when it comes to Trump, I recognize it as a thing some here do as an oulet for their stress, and I let it go by. Imo, so should you.

Furthermore, I have personally not seen anyone other than Trump being fat shamed at DU. Not any other individual or fat people as a group. I don't feel DU is a fat shaming community in any way other than the insults that are thrown at the one man most of is know is trying to destroy our country. Personally, I would rather people didn't use those kinds of insults for him, but as long as they are reserved for him, I can live with it.

Is fat shaming a good thing? No, absolutely not. But by focusing on that, you are totally missing the point of why Trump is hated, feared, and reviled here.
