"Oh my God, I just want to go home... I've missed our entire trip to to the beach." --Sen. John Fetterman

John Fetterman when asked about timing of vote that will cost millions health care and food on the table, destroy industries and jobs:

"Oh my God, I just want to go home... I've missed our entire trip to to the beach."

It is noon on a Monday.

Fetterman not really happy with Dems forcing the clerk to read the bill: “it’s not like it’s pathetic to force the clerk to read it or anything”

The ones that started from the left and are now failing us are these johnny-come-lately new progressive types whose credentials are that they call themselves progressives.

I fear that we will see even more of these turncoats in the future as certain progressives focus more on the label and the age rather than proven experience and progressive accomplishments of a candidate.

C’mon!!!

That job of yours that comes with a lot of work was evidently something you thought was very much worth having! So much worth having that you campaigned like crazy all over your state and spent tons of money to get it.

Your voters sure thought so. Wonder how many of them STILL think so.

But, that said, I suppose we have to remember that just about ANY Democrat is better than ANY Republican, no matter how wrong-headed, neglectful, or dismissive the Democrat turns out to be.

and the two major almost concurrent health blows he's taken. He's been slammed, because they both came AFTER he started down the Senate path. However, I do think he needs to take some time to evaluate the reality of his situation. Things change, especially after a major brain insult. If he doesn't want to be a Senator he should resign after a long talk with Shapiro. His priorities may have changed, in which case he needs to do something that is more in line with his new interests. It does nobody any good to have a Senator who would rather be somewhere else.

Between the cons dragging it out to meet Trump’s 4th of July timeline and Schumer forcing the reading. It’s doing nothing more than inconveniencing the Democrats. The bills passage is a forgone conclusion at this point. There is nothing more he (or any dem) can do to stop the inevitable. I’d be frustrated too. As this like rubbing salt into a wound in slow motion.

He is not, or else is no longer aware that the job of US Senator is a full time job. Emphasis on "full."

If anyone from your staff reads our board, Senator, please pass this on:

Senator, literally millions of people in your state elected you to do that full time job. There are over six million people in Pennsylvania who want the other six plus million under-educated, undernourished, and without adequate health care. Those "other" six plus million people NEED representation in the US Senate, and that's you. The hours sometimes suck. I know. Four friends of mine have the same job that you do, just from other states. Don't forget, the perks are sometimes pretty wonderful, too. But what you aspired to was the job of Senator. If you want a job at the beach, go put in for lifeguard. You won't even have to raise money for your campaign, and your hours at the beach are "pretty much as much as you could possibly want."

And here's the good part: no one will think the worse of you if you do go for "lifeguard," and, frankly, quite a few will breathe a sigh of relief--possibly yourself included. At least consider it. I can wait for your decision, although the Pennsylvania Democrats might feel differently.

If you think I'm full of shit, well, congratulations. You are not alone. But do everyone a favor--seek treatment, and like yesterday.
