This is why we are in the nightmare we're in

The fact that the white house "press corps" did not get up and walk out when Leavitt said this in response to a question about the CBO estimate minutes ago is why I blame them more than any other entity:

"This is one of the most fiscally conservative pieces of legislation that has ever made its way through Capitol Hill."

They are not journalists. They are enablers.

And of course, walking out is more than justified after the countless lies told to them from that podium, but they are even too chicken to keep asking the same question until they are not lied to.

Every Dem should have walked out with Representative Green.

I know, off topic but enabling seems common these days.

I don't like the way other Dems treated Green, who showed more courage than all of them. Also off topic, but a day or two ago I was watching a politician being interviewed on Capital Hill and a figure walked by in the background, alone, using a cane. It was Rep. Green and he just seemed so isolated. It made me sad.

The poor are undeserving of our tax dollars, but the rich are? B.S! And how is putting us deeper in debt "fiscally responsible"?
Leavitt is disgusting. A gold digger that got her rich old man to buy her a job in a corrupt government to tell lies. Shame on her, shame on them all!

Integrity, critical thought and tenacity are terms that are foreign to the press. They are incapable of criticizing Congress because they are just as guilty of cowardice and ambition. They are Knucklehead and Jerry Mahoney to Leavitt's, Paul Winchell.

and give some specifics as to how people will be affected by the individual parts. But, instead we focused on the daily drivel dribble and shared opinions where facts were what was needed.
The Media has given up even trying to appear unbiased.
The first mistake was adopting the Administration branding of this coup-in-the-box as the Big Beautiful Bill. Way to pitch-in on pitching the bill.

I read multiple articles about the Parliamentarian ruling parts ineligible for a Reconciliation Bill, but, you know, I subscribe to the hated New York Times and I read DU.

Since much of this was voted on overnight over the weekend, I don't know where you think this "time to examine most of the issues" existed.

And you do know most Americans don't read newspapers or watch national television news at all, right? Local news is mayhem, sports and weather.

I'm unprepared for dealing with this world that has evolved around us, having learned long ago I'm unlikely to change any minds out there and that hatred and violence never delivers an answer Humans can abide.
My initial point was to mean that I'm disappointed that the illuminati on our side of this miasma need to be more present at the forefront. We have exceptionally learned minds in our camp, and if we could have a group that stands ready to factually and unrelentingly refute the drivel squeegied-out every day by the Forces Of Evil. Turn back their shit-nozzle on them and "flood the zone"...
every issue, every day. Personalize it to their frame-of-reference and repeat, repeat, repeat... until they think it's their name... that's what got them there. Maybe that's what might bring them home.
The Media, though is a problem. They have NEVER asked hard questions, and NEVER asked a good follow-up question and insisted on an answer. Don't take MAGA as an answer. (I wanted them to explain what America would look like after the "Greatification&quot .
AND... PUSH BACK ON KKKAROLINE. MAKE HER ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED. MAKE GOOD TROUBLE. FORCE THEM TO OWN THEIR DECEIT.
