On July 10, the FDA announced that Lewis Bake Shop, produced by Hartford Bakery, Inc., had an undeclared allergy in its Artisan Loaf. The bag did not alert consumers to potential hazelnuts in the bread. The loaves could cause possible serious health risks to some consumers who have a serious nut allergy.

According to the official notice, 65 cases, roughly amounting to 780 packages (each carrying 12 8-ounce packages) of Boars Head Smoked Gouda cheese were distributed despite having a mislabeling issue. The recalled cheese products were produced by the Alpine Slicing and Cheese Conversion Company out of Wisconsin, and distributed to stores in the state of Florida.

Danone U.S. began receiving consumer complaints reporting the presence of plastic pieces in the topper portion of the product, which can potentially lead to choking. These plastic pieces are transparent and could have sharp edges, making them not only less noticeable, but also significantly more damaging.
The recall, which was initiated on July 11, involves their YoCrunch product, and applies to all flavors and sizes of the item.
