What shithole prosecutor goes to the convicted perp for information and not the victims of the crime?

...Ghislaine Maxwell was already given the opportunity and refused to tell her story to investigators when she was arrested, and then later in court.

She's never admitted guilt or expressed remorse for her crimes which should be the minimum consideration for any accommodation to her after sentencing.

Trump's personal attorney-turned-Deputy AG can't possibly be in pursuit of justice, because he has no way to measure the value or truth of this convicted perp's statement or answers to his questions because he doesn't have access to or knowledge of the full investigative record; Trump having opportunistically fired New York federal prosecutor Maurene Comey who worked on the prosecutions against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

There weren't any victims at the meetings with Maxwell to question their abuser or respond to her newfound willingness to now selectively reveal what she knows.

There won't be another trial to measure Maxwell's new claims against the testimony of victims or witnesses. There won't be any rebuttal testimony from any of the prosecutors and investigators who put Maxwell in jail.

There's no actual path to any real justice here. All of this one-sided testimony is in obvious and open collusion with Trump, ostensibly on his behalf, as he's clearly demonstrated there aren't any barriers between his White House and his obsequious Attorney General's DOJ.

Todd Blanche is just a go-between for Trump to elicit damaging statements from Ghislaine Maxwell to use against his political opponents, or in defense of himself.

As sure as shit, republicans in Congress will be clamoring for this compromised information which will undoubtedly be self-servingly leaked from DOJ, or the president himself, to use in an open committee hearing as political theater.

Wrap your head around the fact that our nation's justice department has dispatched it's number-two official to solicit statements he believes are of value from a convicted predator who lured middle school girls to have sex with her and Epstein.

Blanche didn't seek out the prosecutors in the case; didn't fly in to meet with any of the witnesses who already testified; all of that myopic focus on the perp making it all the more strange and curious why Trump has never uttered a word of care or concern for Epstein and Maxwell's victims; only offering his 'well wishes' for his child rapist friend and groomer facing prison.

This dog and pony show isn't just a sham, it's a criminal enterprise designed to give political cover to Trump by eliciting 'testimony' from a convicted child rapist who is already in jail for 20 years and has every incentive to lie.

She abused women and girls, allowed for their rapes, sex trafficked women and girls,
made money from hurting people, and was part of an international criminal organization
too. She should die in prison.

Having her give testimony in behalf of Trump is like Manson giving statements in support of
Tim Mc’Vay.

She is a distraction. If she gets a pardon, it merely is the felon making another connection with the Epstein scandal. No one could seriously anticipate that she will ever tell the truth.

We need to keep our eyes on the prize. This is a repulsive move by the felon & co., and we all find it insulting. But there are important things we should focus on now.

...there isn't any direct way to stop the Trump regime, other than making it politically difficult to impossible for republicans and their president to conduct business as usual.

We can already see the effects of this eroding Trump's credibility, even among many of his followers, and especially with independents and young folks.

Imo, this is how you keep an opposition president down, keep him on his heels and attaching this scandal to every issue they try to promote.

We have little legislative leverage in this political process, so we need to make certain we don't just leave this influencing scandal for the administration to exploit to their own advantage.

I agree 110%

It is desperation and panic on the felon's part. I suspect that by the mid-terms, we will add white females to the list of those who will realize whatever the outcome with Maxwell, that it is glitter intended to distract them.

..because it's not a actual inquiry.

It's soliciting for dirt on Trump's and Blanche's political opponents, and collusion between this child abuser and the WH through his personal lawyer turned Deputy AG to try and cover for Trump's appearance in the FBI files with a quid pro quo agreement to accommodate the perp.

It's not a trial where she can be rebutted, and no one should expect this administration to relate anything but what's in their interest, even distorting or concealing very things they were just told that incriminate them.

And where is the promise to hild this perp accountable for lying, or the revelation of even more crimes? This is an affront to the victims who don't have any access to this inquiry to rebut or refute any lies Maxwell is telling Blanche.

Guy coulda put Epstein behind bars for good in 2008 if it wasn’t for that really old and really sick defense attorney who just died all of a sudden last week.

What she says must be VERIFIED.

She knows precisely who slept with who... who wrote checks and who exchanged favors.

She knows all the deep dark secrets and I'd be very interested in ALL of her statements that she can back up with evidence.

Anything she says that can't be proven... should be dismissed.
