I filled out the form on the CVS website and they never asked me about any current medical issues.
I am in the 12-64 age group with no qualifying underlying medical conditions, but I would have lied about it if I needed to.
No prescription needed, either!
I checked into CVS and was done in 5 minutes. I normally receive my shots in my left arm (because I'm right-handed) but this year I got it in my right arm because I tore my rotator cuff in my left arm and have been going through months of physical therapy.
Now both arms are sore.
The shots? I barely felt them.
I'm glad I live in one of the sane states in the Northeast Public Health Collaborative. I posted about that yesterday:

Also if you're in New Jersey, vote for Mikie Sherrill for Governor! I would be sad to lose her as my rep, but she'd be a fine Governor and we don't want SHITARELLI for Governor because he's totally MAGA and would probably pull New Jersey out of that health collaborative!
KEEP NEW JERSEY SANE

(5,281 posts)I forgot to bring my health insurance cards. They were able to give me the shots anyway at zero cost to me. (Over 67 and I have terminal cancer.)

(17,152 posts)at CVS this last Monday. The young man was very nice, pleasant. He informed me that I have a history of taking prednisone for my RA and other prescriptions that suppress my immune system, that the vaccine isnt as effective. I told him I understood and that I have known that for several years and thanked him for reminding me. Now I need to get the flu shot, sooner than later.
