there is something they can do, called the "nuclear option," which I seem to remember they have pulled up in the past?????

the nuclear option is removing the filibuster. Democrats wanted to do that under Biden, but Manchin and Sinema wouldn't do it.

Repugs got rid of the filibuster for confirming judges, including the Supreme Court. But that means Democrats could confirm judges too, under Biden. So it seems that Repugs aren't going to remove the filibuster from everything, at least they haven't yet. They don't want Democrats to pass a budget without them....
