Goon and (ICE) tactics are costing millions of the public money as well as other harms
MAGA CHEERING FOR THUG TACTICS CLUELESS AS USUAL
$112 Million Jury Verdict (November 2025): A federal jury awarded $112 million to over 670 immigrants unlawfully detained by the Suffolk County Sheriffs Office. The lawsuit alleged that individuals were held in jail after their criminal cases were resolved solely based on ICE detainer requests, which the court ruled lacked probable cause.
$92.5 Million Settlement (December 2024): New York City reached a settlement to pay up to $92.5 million to roughly 20,900 immigrants improperly detained by the city's Department of Correction between 1997 and 2012. The class members were held beyond their scheduled release dates because of ICE detainer requests.
$14 Million Settlement (October 2020): Los Angeles County settled a class-action lawsuit for $14 million involving more than 18,500 victims of "ICE holds". The lawsuit, Roy v. County of Los Angeles, challenged the practice of detaining individuals in county jails after they were legally entitled to release.
$1.175 Million Settlement (October 2022): A federal court preliminarily approved a settlement related to a 2018 ICE workplace raid at a meatpacking plant in Tennessee. The settlement included $475,000 for individual plaintiffs and $550,000 for class members to resolve civil rights claims, including excessive force.
And if you don't think the family of "Good" won't win a civil lawsuit, well, I think you're making a bad bet.
