"The loudest protest so far": Anti‑ICE rally targets Minneapolis hotels believed to be housing federal agents

CNN's Omar Jimenez describes the scene outside a hotel in downtown Minneapolis where anti-ICE protesters believe federal agents are staying. Demonstrators can be seen shining lights at hotel windows and making noise through drums and whistle blowing. https://cnn.it/458p7Iu

At least two hotels in downtown Minneapolis became the target of anti-ICE protesters banging on drums, whistling and shining lights on windows, CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez reported from the scene late Friday.

“This definitely seems to be the loudest protest we’ve encountered so far… They’re under the belief that there are federal agents here. The goal seems to be that no one at this hotel can sleep, with the target, in that case, being federal agents,” Jimenez told CNN’s Laura Coates while outside a hotel which he said was at least the second one which protesters went to “appearing to be under the belief that (federal) agents are staying” there.

“We haven’t quite seen a protest like this carried out in this exact way up to this point, at least I haven’t personally, and I’ve been here… since the day of the shooting,” he added, referring to the killing of Renee Good by an ICE agent.
