They keep rebranding and have a new lead broadcaster from their morning show, Katy Tur's husband Tony Dokoupil. Nope, he is not cutting it. They have fired people too. CBS rated last behind NBC and ABC.

...After days of negative headlines and tough reviews, Dokoupil got some praise on Wednesday night for pressing border czar Tom Homan on whether immigration agents had used excessive force. The interview made news when Homan seemed to differ from the official Department of Homeland Security line: that the woman killed, 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, had intentionally tried to hit the officer with her car. “It would be unprofessional to comment on what I think happened in that situation,” Homan said, after Dokoupil showed him a video of the incident. “Let the investigation play out and hold people accountable based on the investigation.”

But that news-making interview was overshadowed soon after, when one of the show’s top producers, Javier Guzman, was abruptly terminated, causing confusion on Wednesday night in the network’s New York newsroom, where he was spotted with his belongings. The network did not provide an explanation for Guzman’s dismissal, which the Guardian first reported, though sources said it stemmed from interpersonal dynamics.

8. It surprises me people watch any of the evening news programs...

Anytime I watch—no matter the network—it’s just a litany of news I’ve known about for hours. I’m sure in the pre-internet days, people actually learned something from ol’ Walter and Mr. Jennings.

By following certain news apps, I learn about shit almost as soon as it happens. I don’t wait until 5:30 to hear it from what’s-her-name.

My elderly parents watch the NBC evening news (I have no idea who the anchor is!). I guess people like them are a key demographic, and thus the pharm ads. Miracle Whip, Pond’s and Buick should look into it, too!

9. I usually watch AbC news but when it's pre emptied for football I used to watch cbs

But after Ellison brought it I no longer watch it and watch nbc bees instead. I avoid cbs news now. I’d stop watching the network completely but like Ghost, Matlock and Elsbeth so I still watch them!

And I conflicted about watching the Golden Globes tomorrow to not give them ratings.
