I've done the same. My Senators are Cornyn and Cruz, so that tells you something.

My Congresswoman is Monica de la Cruz, a Republican. But she DID break rank and voted to extend the ACA subsidies. That doesn't mean that I'd vote for her EVER, but I give credit where credit is due.

2. Well done. People will tell you it will do no good, but the fact is

you hold his purse strings. And you decide whether their golden goose of graft gets taken from them. Also, according to a staffer in my rep's office, they simply log the topic people are calling about, and the caller position on the topic. An uptick in calls like yours will make a difference.

We should all be calling our reps, D or R, on the regular.
