Pro-Auschwitz Republican flips to Democrat in bid to win after California redistricting

https://www.rawstory.com/california-redistricting-2674875476/

A Republican candidate for governor in California will instead run for Congress as a Democrat despite floating Auschwitz, the infamous Nazi concentration camp, as an "unemployment plan."

In paperwork filed on Monday, Kyle Langford indicated that he would be vying for Democratic Rep. Julia Brownley's seat in the primary for California's 26th Congressional District. Brownley announced she would not run for another term.

Langford's move comes several months after California voters approved a redistricting plan that was expected to have little impact on the 26th.

Last year, Langford shared a photo of himself standing in front of the former Auschwitz concentration camp, where 1.1 million people, mostly of Jewish ancestry, were murdered during World War II. He included a caption that said the concentration camp was his "0% Unemployment Plan."

California governor candidate calls Auschwitz 'solution for homelessness,' sparks critisism

California's candidate Langford said he was proud of his "German ancestry" and called Auschwitz a "great work camp," sparking controversy.

The Auschwitz Memorial Museum slammed Kyle Langford, Republican candidate for Governor of California, after his antisemitic remarks, calling out his actions as a “profound moral failure.”

“The instrumentalization of the tragedy of all those imprisoned and murdered in the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz for political messaging is a profound moral failure,” said the official Auschwitz Memorial Museum.

“Auschwitz is not a prop. Kyle Langford, your post is an affront to the dignity of the victims and a disturbing display of insensitivity and disregard for the horrifying human history.”

Langford, who is currently the leading Republican candidate in California, published a photo of himself at the entrance of Auschwitz with a text that said: “My 0% unemployment plan.”

He also doubled down after being called out by the memorial museum, posting a message that said his “German ancestors smile upon him” and thanked the organization for a “shoutout.”

I've done both. Get him on social media if necessary. He has a 50 state strategy and rapid response at the ready. The top Democratic Candidates need to step in front of this guy and punish him into submission. He's fucking around - he's gonna need to find out.

Nothing funny about that. I wonder what else he finds funny that he's shared on the internet?
