is a ton of this kind of corrupt shit being done in the shadows that we don't know about by the MAGA 2025 group and U.S. Corporations fully backing it......

I can't imagine why people don't recognize the fact that 95+% of ALL media in the United States is owned/operated by legal wealthy Republicans.....and has been for decades, accelerating to the point it now is.........

One of Hitler's first moves, was to take over all the Media in Germany, for the exact same reason....100% control of the Propaganda.........Not at all unlike Putin's PRAVDA, .......Russia's state government controlled media.........

There are very few true "journalists" left and they are not in the White House Press Corps. Although I will admit that Kaitlin Collins has shown some backbone in standing up to them.

Most are just looking for a quote they can use when they go on one of the evening talk shows. They dare not cross the line and report stories that are important or ask questions that are off-limits. If they can find some juicy tidbit or something controversial and interesting, that is the story that they report.

These countries are just playing along with Trump. Emphasis on playing. In three years, if Trump hasn't stroked out first, the lawsuit to reverse his illegal takeover of the US Institute of Peace building and its infrastructure will have wound its way through the courts, there will be a Democratic president, and Trump will be kicked off the Board, along with all these countries' representatives.

And fuck the Bezos post. The paper has absolutely no credibility at this point. I trust the paper as much as the WSJ at this point. Most decent editorialists left in 2024, and rightly so. I’d like to hope reporting is unbiased (when it’s not reporting on anything Bezos related), but I’m very skeptical. I simply won’t even bother with their editorials.

The New York Times is also partially responsible for normalizing every bit of Trump’s insanity, though they’re probably one of the only decent national independent paper left in terms of reporting, partly due to their vast resources. They have some real idiot columnists though. I really can’t stand Douthat or Stephens.

I've tapped into some global media outlets via IP (internet protocol) streaming and avoid US media.

All media have their own internal biases, but for a better oversight of media reporting the news I go to:

UK BBC
Aljazeera
DW
ABC (AU)

Different slants on the same topics, but you get to see the slant your local media feeds you very clearly.

For the most part, independent journalism is dead. I don’t think it’s much better in the UK either. I find their coverage too tabloidy and sensationalistic. It’s especially impossible to get reasonable coverage on the Middle East in the US. Occasionally the New York Times will have good in depth and surprisingly critical coverage of a certain country, but for the most part it’s very biased.

Recent changes in ownership means that our legacy media is ALMOST completely owned by Republican billionaires. Do not expect to see or hear, any news or research that would be important to you or anything you care about. Seek out independent news sources.

I don't have the direct link the the video but here is a link to a youtube one that gives more info in general on BOP and refers back to the X (or Instagram?) post. If I find the link I will share, I don't have an X or Instagram account.

I did find the video by searching "IAmPoliticsGirl We're being robbed" and a link to the video on Instragram did show up. I think the original one I saw was a repost. My apologies, I'm not super savvy with the social media platforms since I don't use them.
The 3 minute video was a great quick summary full of details I found helpful.
