actually INCREASED the national debt!---- and it was DELIBERATE!
(It's called 'The Two Santa Clauses' method---
Republicans deliberately spend like drunken sailors to create
'an illusion of prosperity' through overspending and tax cuts for the rich,
starving the federal budget---
and rely on intermittent Democrats to try to balance to budget in-between---
and at the same time disappoint their Democratic base voters!
