(738 posts)Iran doesn't have the resources that the US and Israel have. Terrorism is a tactic not an ideology. It makes up for not having the naval and air forces of an adversary. What they can't hit with missiles they will hit with suicide bombers. Or drones launched from offshore.
The devices can still be transported to the south Atlantic off the Central American coast for a ship to small ship transfer. The cartels specialize in small subs. Then the device could be delivered off the coast of southern Florida by a suicide bomber in a small sub and detonated or a number of small drones with high explosives and incendiaries could be launched from just offshore.
Or, they can go after his less defended, but very important to Trump, golf businesses and other businesses in the middle east.
Is his Qatari jet finished? They might sabotage that as well.

(255 posts)Iran is capable of asymmetric warfare in the form of using its many talented hackers. Government buildings and military facilities wouldn't necessarily be their main targets. For many years hospitals, utility companies, and other unassuming entities have been warned to update their computer systems to protect themselves from ransomware attacks and other malevolent devices before they become victims of their own ineptitude and sloth. Just use your imagination as to the impact of towns and cities losing water supplies or electricity. We can only hope that responsible managers have convinced the powers that be to practice preventive, positive steps instead of waiting to find Bandaids after the proverbial fecal matter has hit the fan.
