To Khanna and Massie calling for a vote for Congress to intervene

“Trump has launched an illegal regime change war in Iran with American lives at risk. Congress must convene on Monday to vote on @RepThomasMassie & my WPR to stop this. Every member of Congress should go on record this weekend on how they will vote.”

NEW from @AOC: "I will do my part to uphold our Constitution by voting YES on Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie’s War Powers Resolution. Every member of Congress must join us in rejecting this aimless war."

When we begin the Constitutional Amendments to foolproof this country from another mistake like Trump, maybe it would be a good idea to include convening Congress immediately after the president starts an illegal war. Because this waiting until Monday morning session sounds like crazy absurdity. We are not rising to the moment in history.

Congress needs to convene NOW to stop this insanity. Not Monday. There is no justification for attacking Iran

Except maybe EPSTEIN

Let us keep track; let us remember; let us keep shouting out their records; and let us take back our power to vote for what we really want instead of "the lesser evil."

Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie are working overtime. I have not seen much from others in congress. Jeffries and Schumer may be speaking but no one is listening to them.

Let's just say they vote to stop the attack. So what? How exactly do they enforce that?

It one thing to say it, it's a completely different thing to have the ability to enforce it.

My point is in any normal administration the Executive would listen to Congress but this administration is already long past paying lip service to a body it has shown overt disrespect for and largely ignored everything it says as it reallocated funds at will, fired people at will, overtly committed crimes and all but ignored what Congress said.

Congress has no power over this administration.

This would be a first step, the next step would be to actually take action against Trump for his unconstitutional actions.

I won't hold my breath on either actually passing, but I am glad they are making noise at least. The only hope of ever turning this crap around is for people to wake up.

Before he can even think about the nuke football.

He has created an existential threat against Americans, clearly has no intention of following our Constitution. This is Treasonous. Get him out of office now!!

We all need to call both the House and Senate.

Motherfucker!

I really do.
One I do not believe his cult will vote to impeach him

Two, even if they did, they have no ability to enforce it.

…any future action against Iran at this time. Under that condition the military could refuse any order to attack as illegal. This is why those statements were made by Kelly and others.
