What really made me want to get involved in politics was seeing the rise of the antichrist Donald Trump. I started to see how he was energizing the country, but he was energizing the country in total opposition ways than Barack did. He wasn't bringing people together; he was literally tearing people apart. He literally wants to build a wall, while I feel Barack Obama's rise actually built bridges. Charlamagne Tha God
It is not a coincidence that the felon tried to argue with the Pope and posted the obscene AI of himself as a Christ within hours of each other. He was sending a message dog whistle style, to the white christian nationalist in his maga cult. One might question the wisdom of attempting a political argument with the Pope when 20% of those who voted for you are Catholics. It isn't as if his party didn't do worse than anticipated in the 2018 mid-terms to begin with.
The sacrilegious AI post offended a heck of a lot of people. Democrats, republicans, and independents found it to be offensive. People of all religious beliefs, the spiritual, and atheists saw it as a warning that the sociopath-in-chief should be removed from power as soon as possible. By gosh, even some members of the maga cult are now asking if the president is the antichrist.
The one thing the the convicted sex offender/felon hates most of all is people laughing at him, and making hilarious jokes at his expense. Please allow me to provide an example for your enjoyment:
That is one for the history books. I love it today, even more than I did at the time. Today, of course, we have people at the grass roots level sharing hilarious jokes about the felon. Even the felon's claim that he thought he was pictured as a doctor is a joke. Thus, his loyal poodle Vance then insisted the AI image was intended as a joke. Vance is a piteous joke.
The truth is that in attempting to send a specific message to the maga flock, that shit backfired. I can only speculate, but I wonder if people will copy that image or ones like the felon with a McDonalds bag at the Last Supper and tape them up on gas pumps and grocery store shelves? It might remind them of the guy who is responsible for the rising prices.

(79,112 posts)I get a kick out of idiots saying the Pope should "stick to religion." As many have pointed out, that is exactly what he is doing.

(79,112 posts)Marco Pogo is a tragic character. He knows the president is a mad man, but opts to not speak out. He is willing to act as if loyalty to a president is his highest value. He thinks that having the spine of a mud puddle will help him become president. He betrays his oath of office.
Note: I just saw him on the news, and needed to express my contempt for him.

(6,374 posts)I fear there will be real harm done before it's stopped, but I do think we are seeing the beginning of the end.
It has felt like the beginning of the end times for so long that I barely recognize the feeling of hope.

(79,112 posts)the global economy will be endured for some time. Those injured in this senseless war will continue to suffer. And, of course, those killed will remain dead. And for what? Because Netanyahu, the worst war criminal of this era, determines U.S. foreign policy? Because the sociopath-in-chief wanted to be a hero?
It can be discouraging. Yet I still am hopeful about the future.

(79,112 posts)my cousin & I are keeping count of the ever increasing number of people who voted for the felon, and now recognize how bad he really is. I'm thinking about the mid-tems ..... Democrats did much better than predicted in mid-terms in 2018, and should do even better this year.
There are, of course, brain-dead maga who still support the man who channels their hatreds. But not so many. Thus, my cousin also counts those who have died since the last election.
