Pro-Iran Man Charged With Antisemitic Assault in Brooklyn
A 41-year-old man has been charged with a hate crime after allegedly attacking three Jewish men in Brooklyn while shouting antisemitic slurs, according to police and court records.
The suspect, identified as Andrzej Wnuk, allegedly assaulted the victims near Throop Avenue and Gerry Street in Williamsburg on Friday evening. Authorities said the three victims, aged 48, 38 and 21, were walking separately when Wnuk approached and struck them.
According to sources, Wnuk punched one man in the back, another in the shoulder and a third in the side of the head while yelling “f–king Jews.” All three victims reported pain to their faces but declined medical treatment at the scene.
Footage from the aftermath showed police taking Wnuk into custody while he was wearing a black T-shirt displaying the Iranian flag.
