Kimmel on Trump remark: 'Did he just make a joke about his death?'

Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel poked fun at President Trump once again Tuesday, as their ongoing feud heats up.

During an episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC, the host had his audience watch a clip of Trump speaking earlier in the day at an event with King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the White House.

The president referenced that his mother and father — Mary Anne MacLeod and Fred Trump — were married for 63 years. He then turned to his wife, first lady Melania Trump, and quipped, “That’s a record we won’t be able to match, darling.”

“I’m sorry. It’s just not going to work out that way,” the 79-year-old president told his spouse of 21 years.

Kimmel then said, “Wait a minute. Did he just make a joke about his death? My god. He should be fired for that,” to roaring applause.
