After all, being an astronaut takes much more in qualifications than being a soldier. It requires an extremely rare combination of physical and mental ability. They don't draft astronauts from the general population. This is not to belittle our military, as being a soldier is incredibly tough and often dangerous to life and limb, but only to state how exclusive the astronaut club is.

So, I take his statement as a confession that he did a bit of draft dodging back in the day, as we already know.

This can be done in an airplane that first climbs and suddenly dives, leaving everything inside that isn't tied down, especially people, floating around for a short time. They call it the "vomit comet" because the experience often makes people puke. https://www.livescience.com/29182-what-is-the-vomit-comet.html Astronaut trainees also have to experience the opposite; up to 9 gs in a centrifuge that simulates forces experienced on takeoff. https://www.tinker.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/4351078/711-hpw-centrifuge-simulates-spaceflight-for-astronauts/

I'd love to see Piggy after a ride in the Vomit Comet.

Reality star surrounded by props performing for the cameras.... every freakin' day.

And also it's belittling to the astronauts saying he could've done it. Imagine other astronauts having to be in close quarters with him for weeks... ugghh.

Leaving aside the lack of mental acuity, complete absence of courage, & a work ethic approaching zero, astronauts in the era where he would have been of age had to 5'11" or under.
He's never been the 6'4" he claims, but he was over 5'11" for sure.
BTW: Leaving aside those 3 elements above is pretty difficult to do.
