I'll never know how I survived the Gulf War without a ballroom.

I mean, I had a tank; seemingly appropriate, effective protection. But still: no ballroom.

I’m lucky to be here…

When what I needed was parquet flooring, chandeliers, and Corinthian columns.

Who knew?

After an exhausting day of sand and dust, sweating it out in a broiling tank, getting nothing but food and water.

No foxtrot, no waltzing, no tango, no cha-cha. I don’t know from where I summoned the will to go on…

crammed in a Cruiser with 400 other men. Our dance floor was the flight deck, right next to the missile deck and aft gun. At least our wardroom cook was a White House Chef.

As for me, I had a deferment for an ingrown toenail and, like the Presidunce, couldn't serve.

No one did. It’s what we’re meant to be talking about instead of the Epstein files.

Will be able to step foot inside it.. let alone us veterans or regular people? Oh, no... that ballroom will only be for the hoity today of society. And I'll lay odds he charges for admission.. and keeps the admission fee for himself.

He was kept out of the rich society functions in NY and it drove him mad. They wanted nothing to do with the brash, arrogant rich bastard. Building this and keeping them out is his sadistic wet dream.
