Even when we win, I still feel like we're fucked and this country is cooked

I haven't felt all that hopeful about politics since November 8, 2016.

Even when we win, it feels like we take one step forward after taking two steps back... especially on days like today when the Supreme Court chooses chaos.

2. Just a little over a year in the amount of damage done seems incalculable, I just don't see it being

undone in a generation. If Jesus himself became president it wouldn't matter because the world knows how stupid and gullible voters here are and could put fascists in at any election, we will never, ever be trusted again. Then there's the damage to our courts, law enforcement, military, voters right, regulations. A generation maybe to fix it but not with the idiots voting and big money controlling those idiots.

The russo republicans did more damage to this country in a year than russia ever dreamed of doing since WWII.

that will take generation to repair... for what reason? Damage that hurts repubs just as much as democrats.

4. An overwhelming majority of this country now despise Trump and his policies,

and the vast majority of polls prove that... don't forget THAT fact!
(and the fact that Democratic candidates across the country have VASTLY out-performed
the election results in 2024, when economic worries 'trumped' common sense---
now 'the shoe is on the other cankled foot' and he OWNs this bad economy !! )

I fully expect the upcoming mid-term elections to mimic those of 2006,
when Democrats flipped control of both houses of congress in their favor
in the midst of another unpopular Republican war of choice---

(and in THAT instance, we didn't even have major economic problems,
such as higher inflation and people losing their healthcare
and Republicans cutting off food benefits for the poor and working poor,
and immigration agents murdering U.S. citizens in the streets of our cities, et cetera!!!)

I don't think Trump should be as worried about mid-term election results,
as he should be worried about massed armed protesters
approaching the White House to END this nightmare---

he should pray that we rely on elections, instead!

(but I'm pretty sure that he DOES NOT pray,
nor can he quote a single bible verse without a teleprompter!)

5. That's funny- I'm more hopeful now than I have been since November 2016

The Trump-induced, republican-enabled widespread suffering that crosses all racial, regional, and political boundaries is likely to end up uniting the vast majority of the country against this administration.

The suffering is becoming so intense, that the resulting unity may be so powerful that no amount of gerrymandering or ratfuckery can overcome it.

Lindsey Fucking Graham is pathetically begging for donations on FOX.

Dozens of republicans are retiring, a new record.

They know what’s coming,

I am really looking forward to the midterms.
