The Washington Post reported that the Trump administration's expansion of the border wall in southern Arizona damaged a Native American archaeological site featuring a nearly 200-foot-long "intaglio," or an etched image of a fish on the land. The report indicates that crews drove heavy machinery over the intaglio, and satellite imagery showed a "disturbance" in the area as crews worked to build more than three miles of new wall.

(30,138 posts)Two hundred feet long! How do you not notice that? Or, more likely, trump told them to just ignore any old Native crap.
Time to drive heavy machinery over Mara-Lardo.

(30,138 posts)Relics get destroyed all the time. When I visited a major site for petroglyphs outside Albuquerque years ago, there were signs of vandalism all over. Very disheartening.

(7,573 posts)I parked in one spot to get out and get a better angle for pictures. There was a massive boulder right there. In a crevice, some idiot placed a small rock painted with some kind of bullshit. Totally out of place.
I took the rock out and chucked it as far as I could throw it. NEVER to be seen again.
