Easter Lilies, which have never bloomed at Easter

Daffodil, a miracle in this climate. But I tried them as a result of a spring trip to the NE Coast.

Paper whites may rebloom, if you plant them very deep. I grew some and they all bloomed, but only the stalks emerged for about 10 years. Someone said that they need to be planted deeply for the size of the bulb to increase.
Spider lillies and crinums are fun. I've been ordering crinums from Brent and Becky's because they're the cheapest source.

(14,085 posts)I bought 40 daffodil bulbs and 10 tulip bulbs. Following the directions, I refrigerated them til the recommended time for planting. I had 6, less than spectacular tulip blooms and a couple of daffodil blooms.
No tulips came up this spring and only the one daffodil came back.
Some things are just not meant to be.

(3,183 posts)My mother always had her flowers and blooming bushes around our large country yard and my father always had a huge vegetable garden.
He helped her care for the flowers, while grumbling that they were not edible but took as much work as his vegetables.
