‘MAGA’ influencer among 200+ arrested in Polk County prostitution sting

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (WFLA) — A Polk County Sheriff’s Office operation focused around prostitution-related offenses netted 266 arrests, including a self-described “MAGA” influencer with a sizable following.

Nineteen additional suspects were arrested for crimes related to child sexual exploitation, PCSO announced earlier this week.

In a news conference Friday, Sheriff Grady Judd highlighted several suspects, including Craig Long II, 41. Long, who lives in Tampa, owns a fitness company and makes content for social media.

He has over half a million followers on TikTok, where he makes videos reacting to clips and providing political commentary. He discusses his prior criminal history, but takes a pro-law enforcement stance, even featuring a clip of Judd in one of his most-watched videos on the platform.

Another arrest highlighted by Judd was Ryan Yates of Odessa. Yates’ arrest report was not available at the time of this report, but PCSO said he was caught on camera entering the undercover location (a hotel room), talking to the undercover detective and taking his pants off.

Yates was sentenced to six months in prison for participating in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol, in which supporters of President Trump stormed the Capitol building in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Yates was later pardoned by the president.

“Well, we’re not giving him a blanket pardon,” Judd said. “He got away with it in the federal system, but not here.”
