We Are Just Stupid -- Digby

https://digbysblog.net/2026/05/03/we-are-just-stupid/

Ford CEO Jim Farley "Humbled" by Chinese EV Technology

Not sure I like his vision of a modern car - basically a cell-phone on wheels with tons of surveillance technologies.

That is the CEO of Ford telling Walter Isaacson the real honest truth about the future in U.S. car manufacturing vs China.

We had started to try to catch up and then we decided to vote for a TV star because we thought eggs cost too much and the old man and the Black lady were icky.

Most of those politicians are Republicans. It started when St. Ronnie reversed Carter's energy policy.

Conservatism means continually living in the past and accusing anyone who wants progress of being radical.

Have caused most of the problem. It's why we pay too much for the cars.
