Kid Cudi Boots M.I.A. From His Tour After Her Political Rants: 'I Won't Have Someone on My Tour Making Offensive Remarks

Cudder made the move official with an announcement to his Instagram Story on Monday (May 4) following a pair of shows in Austin and Dallas over the weekend.

“TOUR UPDATE: M.I.A is no longer on this tour. I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood,” he wrote. After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants.”

Cudi continued: “This, to me, is very disappointing and I wont have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upsets my fanbase. Thank you for understanding. – Rager”

Billboard has reached out to Kid Cudi and M.I.A.’s reps for comment.

The “Paper Planes” artist was booed during a rant at the Dallas stop over the weekend, which saw her touching on immigration and her political party allegiance.

I assume she is a US citizen if she's raging about immigration? Of not? How any POC can support MAGA is beyond my imagination, unless, like Niki Minaj, Trump gifted "gold" citizenship for her vocal praise?

There's a lot of right wing nutjobs in the UK and I can imagine there's some crossover there.

Which is over 2 decades long at this point. Her Dad was a Tamil Tiger.

Jeez, do your homework, Kid Cudi.

Anyone could have told him she's been going off the deep end for several years.

The end of the agreement is a legal matter. Executives make decisions based on economic considerations. Agreements are entered into. This one appears to have been breached. It’s hardly unusual.

You might want to do some homework on her far right wing/conspiracy theory BS.

She made a hard right turn after Brexit and appeared on Alex Jones a few times. Her new album is super religious and she has been on end times conspiracy theory rants in her new show.

As "Paper Plaines" is something of an iconic banger and I'm rather surprised MIA would be taking this sort of position.

But after Kanye and Nikki Minaj, I guess I can't be too surprised at this point.
