That I had no idea (nor most Dems, it appears outside the "closed circle" on Capitol Hill or in some circles in California) still makes me incredulous. No, I haven't read the article. I've had enough. I just feel badly for his young children.

he was wearing our team jersey. This is what makes coming forward SO DIFFICULT. Every woman knows she will be ridiculed, discounted and her character disparaged by an unfortunate percentage of those hearing of the crimes and indignities committed against her.

Every woman standing up, knows she will be victimized again, even by those that should be her comfort.

Swalwell told The Hill in 2016 after joining the messaging service. “Snapchat is a great way to do that.”

He was also a believer in opening up his zipper.

I've never understood this, even for someone not in the public eye. Yet he was a congressman, married with 3 children, and had no qualms about sending sexually explicit messages and unsolicited nude photos and videos of himself masturbating?

12. I can't reach the mediaite article, is it confirmed that he was sending these things unsolicited?

ETA: nevermind on that question, someone else included other links

I mean under the circumstances obviously it's bad behavior wrt his wife/family, but it's a whole other level if he's doing that completely unsolicited, because that's (at least arguably) a type of sexual assault.

I'm sort of hoping it's not THAT bad, mainly because I've always been a fan of Swalwell and he reps a district I have close relatives living in, and even promoted the guy to them, trying to make sure they vote for him, etc. I feel a bit 'on the hook' for past statements, just want to know what I'm dealing with here you might say?

"One former congressional staffer allegedly developed a consensual sexual relationship with Swalwell after he began flirting with her on Snapchat in 2021.

During the relationship, Swalwell reportedly sent “nude photos of himself and videos of him masturbating,” which showed the congressman’s “face and naked body.”

The videos, which were saved by the woman, were shown to CNN.

And this 'charge' is totally disgusting, sounds like he was bent on tracking her down. "Another woman, Clara Miklaucic – who was 19 years old and working as a restaurant hostess at the time – claimed Swalwell managed to track her down on LinkedIn, where he sent her flirty messages, offered to write a letter of recommendation, and told her her name was “beautiful” after speaking with her for less than 15 minutes while dining at the restaurant in 2021."

That site does not work for me. Like literally, that page is broken, even crashed Chrome for me one time.
