The American Economic Liberties Project website highlights measure after measure to break the hold that Big Money has on American lives. For example, did you know that "youth sports" is dominated by private equity? This is a great website for learning about all the ways we've been getting ripped off and the people who are busting them up. Really made my day to scroll through all the actions.

(8,119 posts)Gotta say, I am surprised at the dismissive/critical reactions of folks here to the Progressive Affordability Agenda.
We have a lot of young people working two or three jobs and living in their cars because they can't afford a roof over their heads. That agenda is of critical importance for everyone, but especially young folks who can't get a first step on the ladder.

(41,201 posts)Democrats should already be running on "affordability"
Progressives using the word is almost insulting.
We need TRANSFORMATIVE taxpayer subsidized policies, not transitional, "here's a little help" policies.
Am I the only person on the planet who remembers when Progressives were pushing single payer nonprofit healthcare?

(3,928 posts)accountable Trump and his cabal for all the grift, corruption and destruction of his 2 terms. No mean feat, but we can't just look forward.
