Neb. Teacher Accused of Generating AI Child Sexual Abuse Images and Masturbating to Them at Work

A Nebraska middle school teacher is accused of generating hundreds of AI-created child sexual abuse images — and masturbating to them while at work.

Matthew Lund, 47, a teacher at Andersen Middle School in Omaha, was arrested Wednesday and faces charges of possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, according to a Nebraska State Patrol press release and reports from KETV, WOWT and KLKN.

Authorities said investigators served a search warrant at Lund’s home around 6:15 a.m. before taking him into custody, according to the release.

He was booked into Douglas County Corrections, officials said.

The Nebraska State Patrol said the investigation remains ongoing and that there is no indication at this time that any students are victims in the case.

During a court appearance Thursday, April 23, a judge set Lund’s bond at $1 million and ordered that he have no contact with anyone under 19 years old, the outlets reported. He was also ordered to wear a GPS monitor.
